Art Napoleon (aka Travelling Sun), a former Chief from the boreal
foothills of Northeastern BC, is a recognized cultural educator
and faith-keeper. He is also a talented singer-songwriter and
humorist with an uncanny ability to improvise and meaningfully
engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Raised by his
cree-speaking grandparents in the remote northern woodlands,
it's a good thing that napoleon turned out to be a terrible
trapper. Whether he is telling a story or singing about a life
experience, he manages to be both irreverent and deeply spiritual.
Napoleon has been featured on many radio and TV programs including
Zed TV, Dead Dog Comedy, CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival, CBC Roundup,
Cree for Kids, Beyond Words, The New Canoe and many others. His
latest cd Miyoskamin has been nominated for several Canadian music
awards.
